PhD position: Biosensor for continuous biomolecular monitoring

Project

  • We are looking for talented PhD candidates who are interested to develop a new biosensor technology for continuous biomolecular sensing based on particle motion, for applications in biological processes and healthcare. Important topics are the development of sensor chemistries and fluidics, insights into critical parameters for sensor performance, and validation of the sensor with realistic biological systems and closed-loop process control.

  • Candidates should have a background in engineering and/or analytical sciences, e.g. chemical engineering, physical engineering, biophysics, analytical chemistry.

Conditions of employment

We offer:

  • A challenging job in an enthusiastic multidisciplinary team.

  • An appointment (1 fte) as junior researcher in Helia Biomonitoring. Starting date: flexible, preferably 1 March 2021.

  • Access to the courses of the PhD program of Eindhoven University of Technology.

  • Gross monthly salary in accordance with the Collective Labour Agreement of the Dutch Universities (CAO NU), including a holiday allowance and an end of year allowance.
